I like the creative embroiderer (not stitch +, too formal and repetitive) the woven necklaces, the fabric books, crochet, create landscapes and personal quilts, create bags, and.......doing chairs with textils and not straw.
Thank you for your lovely comments about my work. I agree with you that it is better to focus on one technique that you really love. I spent a lot of time trying to learn everything and it's really hard for me not to get distracted. I have been looking through your photo stream and I'm really facinated by your work. I really like how you combine techniques and your use of color. I especially love your poppies.
Thank you for the lovely comment about my work.
Your work is very interesting, and I might have to use more embroidery on my appliques.
I especially love the black doll. She has attitude!
Hello Anne -I hope you had a nice holiday in the US. I have made a rooster to keep company with yours. He was a lot of fun to make, and like you, I just used the threads and ribbons I had on hand.
Hello Anne, I just picked up your message - I'm brushing up my French from school days, many years ago. There's not much improvement yet!
My husband's sister and her husband are moving to the Poitou-Charentes region and we will be visiting them there in September. She's a crafter - I think we will be crafting and speaking English most of the time. I translate my blog and read it through most days - well that's easy because I've just written it in English! Connie.
I trade them, kept 2 and mostly send them to people with cancer or anyone in need of "caring". That's why i call mine caring dolls. =) Thanks for the nice comment. HUGS
Yes, please let me know when you have your Pea necklace up. Any ideas you have as to what I should do w/my pea project I would greatly appreciate. Should it be a quilty or just a piece of art in a frame?
The Fig in wonderful Anne. I commented on the photo itself, but also wanted to tell you here too.
In Brisbane at the moment Lesley Turpin Delport and her daughter are doing classes at an embroidery convention. I cannot afford to attend :( but I saw some work of theirs in a display -wonderful new images, and of vegetables as well as fruit! They will be attending the convention next year with new ideas.
what types of embrodiery do you buy? I have not sold any embroidery, but I am curious to know what you are interested in....
