Please answer in full as if I think you are a spammer I do not approve membership. What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
I enjoy working with all types of textiles. Just about anything having to do with fiber and/or needles, Handwork is my favorite, feeling the different textures, and holding the cloth and fibers in my hands.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I am mostly self taught from books. I can also figure out a lot of techniques just by looking at samples of needlework.

Thanks for your kind comment Carol, much appreciated. Some gorgeous stitiching here - love the cardinal, I recall those from when I lived in the US as a child. Sue McB

Thanks for your reply Carol. You're quite right - if I look at the overall project it's a bit intimidating, but if I do as you suggested, and just think about one seam at a time without worrying about the others, it will fall into place. I feel better already! I'll post a message on my Page here when I've started embellishing.

Hi Carol
Just visiting some of the TAST group members' pages and arrived here! Your stitching is superb; I've just made my very first CQ block and have been looking at other people's CQs for ideas. Trouble is, I get overwhelmed by all the beautiful work out there and think "I'll never be able to do that"...but I can try!

Hi Carol,

Carol,
Since the cowboy boot is your own design, I need to ask you a question. Do you have a pattern for it? If yes, can you e-mail me so I may let my friend Kate know. If no pattern, do you mind if I am inspired by the design and sketch a boot for my friend Kate? I have some cowboy boot fabric that I plan to give her and a needlecase along with it would really be a special addition.
