Hi Pallavi thanks for you comments about my crochet rope I am really getting into them and I only started because I am beading a handbag and thought a beaded handle would look nicer I have tried sewing one but didn't like it am going to try covering a cord next but I keep going back to my crochet rope. Have you ever done one? Chat soon and I am off to look at your web site and blog :-)

Hi - I'm a bit frustrated - can't seem to figure out how to get started in this group. I signed up 3 weeks ago and keep waiting to hear how to get going. I SIGNED UP FOR 1:1 EXCHANGE, AND FOR A SWAP THAT THE CUT OFF WAS jUNE 15....HOW DO WE KNOW WHO TO MAIL TO? hOW DO WE KNOW IF WE ARE ACCEPTED IN THESE LITTLE SEPARATE GROUPS? i WILL SEND ONE CARD TO YOU AS YOU REQUESTED, BUT WHAT IS YOUR ADDRESS PALLAVI ?? IF I DO THIS, TRADE WITH YOU DOES THAT GET ME INTO THE 1:1 EXCHANGE GROUP? IS IT LIKE A TRIALK RUN TO SEE IF I'M GOOD ENOUGH TO BE ACCEPTED IN THE GROUP?

iF THIS IS EXPLAINED ON THE WEBSITE, i'M SORRY - BUT i JUST DON'T GET IT - HOW DO WE GET GOING? hOW DO WE GET NOTIFIED THAT WE ARE IN A GROUP AND GET THE GROUPS ADDRESSES?

THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME - I'M SO ANXIOUS TO START SENDING CARDS BUT DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW.

Hi Pallavi,
I have added your name and address to the list of our postcard birthday exchange. I just need the date of your birthday in December now.
No, there is no theme for the birthday exchange. If you want to, you can have ask everyone what their favourite colours or themes are, so you can make something special for them, but most people just like their birthday cards to be a surprise! Actually, you've given me an idea. I'm going to post a suggestion on the Postcard discussion group - thanks for the inspiration!

I have enjoyed seeing your work Pallavi and I will be back. Your lovely crochet flowers inspire me - I have recently started to make some very simple ones as I only seem to be able to crochet a chain!
Thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comments, Connie.

Pallavi, I don't think that the fabric tassels would work everywhere thread tassels are used, but added to fabric articles would be great. Could also be used as Christmas tree decorations, and I will try some on my scissors.

Pallavi,
Love the fabric tassels on your blog. They were nothing like I expected but I love them! Will find an excuse to use them someday!

I had imagined that the package was made up at the seller's store - don't know how much business she (or he) has, but probably she - I bought the sarees on eBay. Thanks, I would be interested in pictures!

Thanks for responding, Pallavi. Isn't it wonderful to be able to be in a group with people from so many different places! I just bought 3 used (sold as "vintage") sarees from India - they are gorgeous, though faded, but what I wanted them for was the silk so I could overdye them, and then manipulate the fabric and embellish. 3 pure silk sarees, some with gold thread, for what came out to $1 a yard!. What a great deal! The best thing was the package it came in - all three folded into a 10 x 10 inch cloth package hand sewn together with about 20 stamps stuck on it. The package itself is a work of art. I will take a picture and upload it.
