Teresa, thank you so much for your sweet encouragement on my little seahorse project.  Yes, I am very much a beginner, but I have found a new passion!

Thank you Teresa, The little 'dead' branches are 1 strand couched on.  I have a closeup of the grasses if ever you want to try that.  I worked a layer of really dark green and dark purple grasses first then put all the lighter colours over the top.  The grass trees are chenille thread.  I like to use purples for shadows in my paintings so did the same thing with the wattle .   I find that my painting and stitching go hand in hand.

i just saw you needlecase with the green buttonholes and it is lovely I have missed that before.  You have completed such a wide variety of items.

Hi Teresa, Am here on the computer thanks you so much for your wonderful comment.  At first I felt a bit so so about the wheels, but one I got going I couldn't stop.  Did you notice the little fronds coming out of the top of the beads it is hard to see them unless you enlarge it.

Hello Teresa,  Your book page is finished and I will post it tomorrow.  I do hope it was what you were expecting and that you like it.  There is a feeling of anxiety as we wait for our recipients to receive our offerings don't you think?  Best wishes.

Perhaps I should warn you that working with silk paper is very addictive!!  There are just so many possibilites - it can be cut, stitched, beaded, embellished and made into everything from wearable art to books - of course!

Hello Teresa,  I have just received the book page swap list from Trillian and am delighted to find you are my first 'partner'.  Your photos show some very beautiful work and I am looking forward to this project and hope I can send you something that you will like.

I leave tomorrow for a couple of weeks in NZ visiting family and sharing a special sixteenth birthday with our twin grandaughters.  I will be back by the end of the month but am taking my ideas notebook with me and promise my page will be mailed to you on the due date.  I see you are in Queensland so that helps!
