While travelling for office in Train Journey; I do little crochet work.
I have recently completed one Blackwork motifs on my Kurta and a saree; painted with our Tribal Warli designs, I have done some hand embroidery work for learning purposes, simultanously; doing hardanger motifs on my Punjabi suit because of encouragement of my Hardanger yahoo egorup.

one saree got traced for Hand embroidery,

Needle painting is another name for Japanese or Chinese embroidery.

Hi Alka, I was in India (Delhi and Lucknow) four years ago for the first time; I hope to go back for a visti sometime because I found India so beautiful and interesting. If you'd like the pattern for the octopus, you can find it in my new book, Sew Magical for Kids (on Amazon) or when I finish getting my new studio set up, I'll look into making it into a PDF downloadable file. (This is something new that I'm learning how to do, so it may take awhile. ?) Does your son like sea creatures?
