HI Judith
I started making cloth dolls for my daughter about 22 years ago and have been making them since. I did my first sculpted about 7 years ago. I used Barbara Willis's technique for the face onmy stump doll. It is only the second one I have ever made. Your doll is beautiful I'll look forward to seeing more of them. Practice is the key.

Hi Judith
Love your stump doll. Did you use Ray Slaters pattern. Her hat/hair is really nice.

Hi

HRH has just had her shower and brush and has been very naughty in fact she's been naughty most of the day. We walked over the fields earlier and madam decides to wander off and have some fun and would not come when called...
Heading off to Scarborough early tomorrow so won't be around for a few days...weather looks promising...
Happy Birthday and have a nice time, lots of cake and Gin, I always think Gin goes nicely with cake...teehee! in fact Gin goes nicely with everything...
I'll join the group, thanks for the invite...
bye for now

Hi you

So this is where you disappear to?
How are you?
I found this forum by accident, I felt I wanted to broaden my horizons and join something to do with textiles other than dolls. I googled and found this group.I am so happy I have because I'm moving more in the direction of clothes patterns for my doll patterns.does that make sense?
I also love hand work, machines are wonderful, but I like to sit in the evenings and sew...it's far more satisfying to me.
I'll have to take some pics of stuff I've done won't I or my cupboard will look so empty...
How long have you been a member here? I can see some familiar faces which is lovely...
Sooo, what are you making at the moment?
I see my favourite pick pocket is hanging around here...teehee
I'm designing a 1920's style PJ, lingerie set for my 2nd flapper doll, I plan on embroidering some design onto it but haven't decided what...
I'm off to Scarborogh at the end of the week, a dear friend is quite poorly so I'm going to cheer her up...
I was saddened to hear about Judy...

lol

Please could you send it again. Thanks, and I am very sorry.

Thankyou for the welcome and comments they are much appreciated! I have made three "proper dolls" and used to make bears but I seem to have moved to smaller projects without ever making a conscious decision to do so. I have been looking at your photos and am mightily impressed

I don't think I replied to your comment in June Judith. This is the first time I have visited My Page. I must try and visit at least once a week from now on. Thanks for getting in touch.

Your ATCs are fabulous. I really like your dolls, especially this flower person. So many dolls have these cutsy pie faces - but yours don't and so to me they are more arty. Your last picture with the leaves coming out of the page - so very well done. How did you do the leaves - are they stumpwork?
