Thank you so much orna! I have downloaded that free designs and today I'm going to a craft shop near by my home. If I have any questions then sure I'll ask to you. Again thank you so much for your precious time and personal attention.
Thank you for your favourable reply. I have a look at the link and I found that the prices for seminar is too high for me as my husband is the only person in our family who earns. I'm on dependent visa so I cannot work. So it's bit difficult for me to join your seminar otherwise I would love to join it. Do you have any other way or..... I don't know what to say. Sorry and thank you for your time.
Orna, I went to your website and came across the instructions for the needlepoint brooch. I wanted to try making it, but i wondered what size thread I would use. I have some skeins of perle cotton size 5.. what do you think?
Thank you for your lovely comment. I am enthralled again by your photos. Gorgeous colours! I enjoy diverse types of embroidery although I am sure I would achieve more if I specialised. I find the surface stitchery stimulating and the counted thread work relaxing. These days I work the surface stitchery during the day and by the time I sit down at night the counted work is all I can cope with. I do enjoy it all.
Quite a few years ago one of my aunts said she would have to live to be 150 to make everything she wanted to, and I thought she must have a very short list! Needlepoint is one of the things on my list, about as far away as quilting on yours. At least you will have some designs ready to work with.
Thank you for your comment about the humour in my work. If it wasn't fun I wouldn't do it, and I find most people who work with their hands have a wonderful sense of humour and are more than ready to share some fun.
Oh, my! I am so flattered to have someone who creates designs like your incredible designs comment on my page! I have long admired your designs and, most especially, your color sense. I look to you for inspiration. Marjorie
Thank you for your well thought out and constructive comment on my work Orna. I haven't had any formal training, and often wonder what I could of done with my talent had I not disliked my first art teacher so much. I didn't want her again so never took art again.
I have developed a little fascination with needlepoint of late. I love all the different textures that can be created with just a needle and thread. I have not attempted any though....no time for another obsession!! lol
I love the contemporary look that your work has, as well as that "ethnic" slant. I'm off to check your blog!
