Maureen, The art quilters group is a local one based in Crows Nest about 40 mins from Toowoomba.  I love their name "Women on the Edge" or WOTE.  They have some very talented members and have invited me to join.  Hope I am not a big disappointment!!  We also have another art quilt group in town, Darling Downs Art Quilters.  It seems very popular around here.  Oh, I am only 2 months behind with my art journal quilts which are for yet another art quilt group which is a branch of Toowoomba Quilters.  I am sure you will catch up, no pressure, right??

Di.

Hi Maureen,

I would love to do the postcard swaps some time, but just now I am a bit overcommitted.  Have just joined an Art Quilt group and they are having an exhibition in 2012.  It seems a long way off, but art quilts can take a lot of work from conception to realization.  Well in my case anyway!!

The weather here today is bright and sunny, but step outside and you need gloves, coat and hat.  The wind chill factor is very ugly indeed today.

We love it tho:-)

I have sat and looked at your slide show and your work is wonderful.  It is great that you are able to share with us on SF.

Kind regards  Di Cahill

Thank you for the link to the site regarding fabric postcards. I have decided to enter the Ten Two Studios Swap. But not sure if mine are up to scratch! I've never made any before.

Hi Maureen, I saw that you don't like to write e-mails, and then I thought I must offer you friendship so that I could write you privately. I still like your postcards very much.

Liebe Grüsse aus Deutschland

Anneliese

Welcome Maureen, from a fellow SE Queenslander.  I live in the midst of the recent flooding on the Darling Downs, not directly affected myself, but have many friends who've lost so much.  Will take a good look at your blog in the coming days.

The above photos include fabric and fibre postcards made for Round 11 of Postmark'dArt Group.

There was "landscape in tones of one colour" I chose to represent Dorothea MacKellar's words"I love a sunburnt country..."

The seascapes were to represent the Element:WATER with Heron Is.

And my FIRESCAPE! Jn memory of last Summer's bushfires
