Choices to make! What will yours be?

I have done my to-dos now and finished the half completed pieces,  so, I now face a whole new year with choices to make.

 

  I am longing to create things which make a serious statement, but when life is difficult (I have had quite a year)my knee-jerk reaction is to create something positive and colourful to lift the spirits and give me a break from the gloom. 

 I must admit that these comfort/goddess/art dolls have been something I have wanted to do for quite a while.  Something a short while ago triggered a need to try and produce one which carries a serious message. 

 Sounds like a hybrid, doesn't it?  but I am going to give it some thought, who knows what will evolve!

 

 

Below is the one and only Art Doll I have ever made; It is supposed to represent the "The joy of being".

  

  

What I would like to know is, What decisions will you make this year? 

Do you feel yourself pulled in a certain direction? Or are you in the driving seat as far as  your work is concerned?

Hi Barbara,

She is beautiful.

I am finding Comfort Dolls are wonderful small pieces to make - quick to finish, and you can experiment with all sorts of things.

And the ones that go to the project are taking a very important message with them - that other women care.
