Day one-
Well this day has finally come, time to put up that Xmas tree (only a small one at the moment - still moving), which comes to the other milestone today, which is the settlement date for our new home. Also I get to open no 25 of my advent swap.
So to start the day here is our little xmas tree, with all the lovely presents (up to the 13th) for me to open each day up to Xmas. What a treat, it was so hard not to peep.

and so we now get to opening the presents, so day 25 to be opened on December 1st. My gifts come all the way from Sweden if you didn't read the earlier post. so day one was a lovely set of embroidered magnets.

and now to the last event for today, the ownership of our new home, so now the fun and hard work begin, we get the keys at lunchtime today, and so we will be pulling out screws, pulling up carpet, and skirting boards, along with striping the cupboards of the rails etc, we need to have this all finished by the weekend so the painter can come in and paint the entire house for us. It's currently a very colourful geleto colours, pinks, purples, greens, blues and beige. We are painting the entire house one colour, iceberg blue (which is white with a touch of blue). So here is the front of the house.

thankfully we will be able to go for a swim if it gets too hot, (as we now have a pool) which currently were expecting our days to start reaching that 35 degrees that I dread.

Day two -

My lovely advent gift for today was a twin set of small glasses, they will be perfect for my little candles.

Busy day at our new home, settlement went through without any hitches, thankfully, but unfortually our bank put up our interest rate by .45%, idiots.
anyway, we got the carpet up in the lounge room and bed one. Then Stuart (Michaels brother) followed by pulling up the horrible nail strips and skirting boards in the lounge. So we are now ready for the tiler, and the painter by Saturday for sure. After our hot work, we finished off with a dip in our lovely little salt water pool, so refreshing. will have progress photo's tomorrow.
