Today I rescued this lovely framed cross stitch from a local thrift store for the low price of $3.00, When I first looked up at it I thought wow nice frame, I could use a wooden frame than once I had it in my hands I could see the picture was cross stitched.

I find it sad to see hours and hours of fine stitching just tossed to the discard pile and to think at first I was just looking at the frame.  I think I am going to hang it to inspire and motivate me when I get discouraged or distracted by my current big cross stitch project.

Today's mail brought another Joan Elliot pattern book I was looking for and was lucky enough to find online last weekend, there are at least 12 patterns in the book I want to make the first one is the Green Woman pictured on the bottom cover. (this will be he 3rd large cross stitch project to make).

I am currently working on the Joan Elliot Celtic Wheel and Moon Mother patterns, now with this book the Green Goddess and than the Water Goddess right above her on the cover.  I think its the colors and use of beads in these patterns that draw me to this designer. I swear I am not obsessed, just slightly addicted.
