Needlepoint wool and the myths

This is something that has irked  /amused me for years.

I have discovered a much cheaper system than so called Tapestry wools (and that term isnt correct either..tapestries are woven, needlepoint is stitched!), and have been using them for years.

For a basic 10 count canvas (thats large and I often start beginners on this altho I actually work in 10 count cos its fast ),  then ordinary 8 ply knitting wool is fine........to some it is called double knitting........the colours…

Christmas must be coming!

This is normally the time of year when there is so much to do that needlepoint hardly gets a look in. But not this year it seems. I cannot believe how busy I have been, sending out new orders for needlepoint/ tapestry kits. There has even been a rush for Christmas Stockings and Decorations, so stitchers are already planning ahead.

If you prefer to enjoy the summer before launching into Christmas, we have plenty of summery designs at One Off Needlework that are perfect for your holiday,… Continue

I finished September and October, and am now working on November, but in the colors of the September TIF Challenge - which were perfect, as they even included the topaz, which is November's birthstone. Ripping

Needlepoint today; Had to undo a section done in metallic. Not a happy day. Got it repaired and redone, and I'll get a picture up within the next few days.

Listening to "Pride and Prejudice" on cd. Wonderful for my concentration.
