Sealife panel - further developements

As I was stitching the panel, I realised it needed a focal point, one with dimension and movement.  I started out sketching a conch and then a scallop shell. I had roughly torn some paper to play with the placement and as I looked at the top curve I thought of a jelly fish(Portuguese man of war, type).  So after much experimenting here it is.

Sow's Ear - Silk Purse?

As you can see - this piece I've just started looks an absolute fright! Bitty and sparce, except for the circles, which managed to establish themselves from the word go! A friend of mine said "see how many layers you can build before you give up!". I am going to see if I can make a silk purse out of this Sow's ear! ....... It may take some…
