TA - DA, Purple Purple Purse is complete and ready for it's new owner. I am pleased with the outcome of this piece. I still don't know how to machine sew the lining into the bag and so I hand stitch all the way around the liner. whew what a job finally had to pull out my leather finger protector the tip of my middle finger is raw. Purple
As requested a purple and black, but more purple purse. hmmmm,, I'm really enjoying the process.
The only thing planned is the color pallet and ofcourse I use the same handbag pattern. Everything else is an experiment and completely random. I hope she likes it.

There's a first for everything
Well, here it is, I just joined the stitchin fingers. And it would seem that I'm blogging, how crazy is that. But I just couldn't help myself, after sneaking around this site for weeks, looking at all the beautiful work. This seems to be a wonderful little corner of the internet, and I intend to make myself at home.

Hare, there and everywhere!
Yes! It feels as though I have been a Hare for a while, racing about letting my instinct guide me and hopping from one item to the next, despite whether it is finished or not. There is a joy in this, but limiting myself and concentrating on the one item does get faster results. The Star/?/Object is progressing nicely, the design side is sorted and I now have to create the accessory that goes with it. If you don't know what I'm talking about please take a look at my page…

Thinking Cap!
Out of the two pieces on my board, the second one is definitely more challenging! I could have played safe and finished the Christmas decoration quickly, but decided to plump for the Star/? (you'll have to wait to see what it really is)
On went the thinking cap and I found that at first, I couldn't make headway, this advanced planning just felt weird! I think I was rebelling against limiting myself to one piece, so I sketched what I had in mind onto an A3…

Focus on the board!

I have a piece of Foamboard propped up in the spare bedroom, I laughingly call my workroom, and have put away all other pieces and unfinished stuff.
I have put myelf on a diet - in more ways than one! I am going to try limiting myself to pinning 3/4 items up there but how long this will last I do not know(the Foamboard that is, not the diet! Which,…

One down- Two to go!
Yes!! I have finished the first of my things to do, it was the totally beaded motif, a heart(It's amongst my page photos)
It took me three days on and off but I'm pleased and plan on putting it onto a book cover.
Now, a confession, when it was time to pin the third piece onto my 'to do' board, I couldn't find it! So much for organization! (not saying the word 'overcrowded' but my cupboards are looking rather swell!
Now, coffee…

Now that the old year is coming to a close, I have decided to make a conscious decision to try and bring some organisation into my life. For quite a while I have always followed that inner voice when creating things, I have tried the methodical approach but found that I felt quite restricted when faced with a structured, step by step plan.
I don't know why, but once I begin something there comes a point(at a different stage with each project)when…
