The Trials and Tribulations of Organization...

On her blog, the Pin Tangle, Sharon B has asked us to share our experience of getting organized in the sewing room. If I was brave enough, I would take a picture of my dining room/craft room to show you what a challenge this is for me. Taking a photo would consist of a true act of bravery because this room is a complete disaster area!

Over the past couple of months I have been doing my best to churn out Christmas ornaments, postcards and ATCs… Continue

OK GUESS WHAT IV'E GONE AND DONE NOW

I have given up on dusting.....! My heart just wasn't into it. This morning the dust bunnies that roam my home asked for some holiday cheer. So I have decided not to sweep them away, but to put little bows on them and call them pets. That should take care of it, don't you think. Now back to stitching as this Christmas I have pledged to give mostly hand made. What was I thinking..... But actually enjoying it. Shall post photos soon. Ta da or is that Fa la la. The Henpecked Stitcher...

Tonight at work I was fantasizing again about quitting my job and staying home and stitching.

Sometimes I honestly feel I would rather live on beans and go bankrupt than stay at this lousy job. Actually, it's not so much the lousy job as the lousy people.

An awful thing to say, I know. I wrote about my job struggles in another post, but sadly they continue. These past few weeks I have really learned to identify the people who are the friendlies, sorting them out among the… Continue

Africa!

I love African textiles!

Because of heavy times in my family, I haven't had all the time to search this website to find if there's members from Africa here!? I would love to see your work! And it would help me to get on my feet, mentally, to find places to explore! Thank you :)

I have forgotten how to dust....

Yup, it's true. I have been so involved with my stitching, that I have forgotten how to dust. LOL. Not really but it sure looks like it around here. So I made a deal with myself. Every morning 1 hour of cleaning ,straightening up, and yes dusting. If I do this I can then and only then pick up the needle and thread and wonder off to my creative endeavors. I'll keep you posted. Don't hold your breath. Sharon

Sampler Album

No, not ‘Sampler Album Quilts,’

that’s a real soft cover paper book.

This is my first Fibre Book

August - November 2008

Soon after I got tangled up in the World Wide Web I joined the on-line group Stitchin Fingers, then joined the Fibre Book group which is one of many sub groups within Stitchin Fingers.

I decided to make a textile book, and started looking for bits and pieces to use… Continue
