My hand bag is finally complete. It is for my sister, she loves happy faces and sunflowers, yellow and orange are her favortie colors. I've been working on this piece for moons and it is officially complete this evening, I am rather please with the outcome. I was stumped for days with the lining, trying to figure out how to sew it in. When all else fails hand stitch!! I always manage by hand.
On to my next project which I have yet to determine. Thanks to Sharon B for her embellishment…

Well, I am not sure how this is going to work but I am going to give it a try. I am not a writer. I am a reader and a stitcher. I am really curious to see how this all works for me.
Right now I am stitching on Teals of Laughter by Jean Hilton, a Study in Gold and White by Jim Wurth, a Mystery in a Corner by Gay Anne Rogers and the prework for a class from Linda Reinmiller called Beach Walk.
I am reading "Moving is Murder" by Sara Rosett (I love mysteries!) and listening to "Charley's…

Hey, Y'all, There are a couple of hotels near to the center that most people stay in. I think they have microwaves, frig, etc, are close by and you can get lunch. When you go to the Center you should take your lunch. You can heat food in the microwave there.
For all the UK ladies, the exchange rate is very favorable, it is cheaper to fly to Atl than to Rome from London and there is one of my favorite malls close to where the center is. Worth the trip:)
If you need any tips, please…

Hey, Y'all, At the Center in Atlanta, they have us clean needles using the very finest sandpaper. I keep a 5cm x 5cm square folded in my needle box. You hold the needle by the eye, put it into the folded square, pull through, rotating so that all 4 sides get cleaned. It works really well and keeps them sharp, too. I have the same needles from when I started Japanese embroidery 6 years ago!
You might want to try it. Anneg

I got the second Christmas mystery block finished yesterday. I've begun quilting the Hollyhocks quilt that I basted on my blog page. Stitch in the ditch is too boring so my hollyhocks are going to have ruffled edges and are going to be a bit freeform.
Need to upload some pictures here and possibly my UFO list.

My blog link is
Chez Boo Rae. It's called that because my middle name is Rae and my college friends called me Boo Rae. I have no idea where it came from except it sounds a little like Boo Radley from
To Kill a Mockingbird. The "Chez" part is a spoofy snobby thing, just to silly.
Chez Boo Rae has not been updated in quite a while as I get distracted easily (ADD). That's why I am a crazy quilter, I think. I can do something for 5…

Did the first block for the Fat Quarter Shop Mystery block of the month. I need to find who else is doing this one. Love the fabrics.
Most importantly, I really cleaned up my sewing area. I have a lot more breathing room now. Still too many magazines, but I have trouble parting with them. I reread them all the time and get a lot of inspiration from them.

Hi,
Many of my friends here have wished me well.My heartfelt thanks for the nice wishes. The real reason I wrote that was so that others wont take their sight for granted as I had done before my Check up., but would go for such checkups regularly. The Doctor has Ruled it out now. They say it might be the Farsightedness that comes with age.
It seems the doctors said the same thing to my mother too.Mercifully she went to get a second opinion,[it was ruled out for her, too].For me it was…

Just realized that one can blog here as well!
I'm having enough trouble keeping up with my own blog,
between stitches and am wondering how other people do it.
Perhaps I can cross-post? No idea how to do that, but who knows, it may be possible....
Anyhow, back to deciding what project/s to take with me on holiday....
ciao!

Needlepoint today; Had to undo a section done in metallic. Not a happy day. Got it repaired and redone, and I'll get a picture up within the next few days.
Listening to "Pride and Prejudice" on cd. Wonderful for my concentration.
