Today I finished a journal I have been working on for sharonb's Take It Further Challenge. I made a gel print on cotton fabric which is embellished with embroidery and beaded sequins for the cover. You can see the whole thing at http://justenoughtime.wordpress.com.

Welcome to my page on "stitchin fingers". I learned of this great group from a new crazy quilting friend, Sherry Johnson - also a member of "stitchin fingers" and a couple of crazy quilting groups we are both in. I find this group absolutely inspiring! All of the photos of projects make me just want to stitch all the time. Looking forward to sharing and learning with all of you.

I have several blogs. Some in English, some in Czech that is my native language. Do I really need another blog here? I donot think so, but I cannot leave it blank.
I can make a list of my online activites (only in English and I donot think it is complete):
My main blog - mostly about fiber art, next to nothing personal.
Modulong - blog for modular knitting. I love modular knitting. It is quite…

I found it difficult to sign up from my site, and had to try from another computer.the Ning.com people were supportive and responded promptly..Sharon ,too, helped .with her commisuration and suggestions.I was feeling awfully frustrated that I was not able to join while the membership was going from two to four to approximately, 50 10 hours later. While I was happy that the community was…

Do you remember when you were a kid, climbing into bed after a wonderful day.
Thinking I have to wait a whole year for another christmas day. Whole years took forever.
Even though your Mum was always telling you time flies.
Well when you are over 40ish whole years whizz by so fast, your mother was right, time flies.
In my case usually out the window.
Catching up with all the lovely photos on this site has…

So far, in a couple of days, I have made new friends in Norfolk, UK; California, and Montana, USA; Russian Federation; Stockholm; Milan; France; and Canberra and Brisbane, Australia.
That in itself makes me smile.
And then there is all the great work these new friends are making.
I like stitchin fingers.

I have begun gathering for my fabric book. I hope to get some input as to when and how the group should operate. I want everyone to feel comfortable and get the help they need. I am looking forward to learning new techniques and helpful hints along the way. This should be a fun group and I am excited to see so many interested and that some have already made books.
Now I must figure out the flickr thingy!

I thought that I would start my blog with the story behind my photo block. I am a CMA, Phelebotomist. Right now I am working as a Phelebotomist for a company who services nursing homes. I am running a route of 5 nursing homes. Two out of my 5 are in a poor county. They have resident funds set up to help those residents who have no one to get them essientials like: socks, underwear, clothes of any kind, shampoo, soap, and just other things that…

Today we travel to Ledbury for a selling and teaching trip. I'm teaching the Embellisher at
Ledbury ArtPlace tomorrow, but this evening we are opening our shop with sales of Sassa Lynne goodies and other bits.
On Saturday we travel north to a hamlet near the town of
Dolgellau. We are staying here for a few days, to recharge our batteries.
