First exhibition of stitch pieces 27th Feb 2010

Saturday 27th February 2010

It's taken a while for me to come back here as we have been VERY busy preparing and finishing our work for the first interim exhibition for the GE.

It was a mad rush to get it altogether for the day, in the end it turned out to be a very positive expo, and worthwhile.

The day started with a drizzle, but fully laden the first good sign of the day was a true gent who stopped me…

New for 2010

I have at last had some time to play and I have uploaded my experiments and final designs. I am already preparing for the Open Studios in July.

Monday

Another week and lots to do.

I tried to make a start on the "fire" atc. Using a black background and metallic threads and ribbons and beads. It is looking ok. I shall probably set it aside for a day or two before finishing it off.

Sunday. Valentine's day.

At last we have finished moving things around and my new sewing room is set up.

Friday am

Well, it rained last night, and rained some more. Our tank is almost full which means the garden will survive the rest of the summer.
I mailed an ATCto new Zealand and made a start on another Needlebook.

Itchy fingers

It is really hot and steamy today - hoping for a thunder storm and plenty of rain.

I have been setting up my new sewing room/office/studio (doesn't that sound exciting), The clean up has meant I have discovered lots of treasures.

New Beginnings

I am relatively new to this site, I also have EXTREMELY limited experience with sewing, stitching, and the like. I was wondering if anyone out there had any advice or jumping off points that I may get started off on the right foot. I've spent some time looking at all of the beautiful photos and works many of you have posted and have been quite inspired! Thanks in advance, keep up all of your beautiful work. I enjoy seeing how creative and talented all of you are.

My card for the February swap "Black/White and another Color". It shows the first scene of
