From Cat’s eyes to Creative Seed - How do you get there?

I thought it would be fun to tell the story behind my Avatar the 'Creative Eye'.   This was yet another experiment which resulted in a textile sample.

Many a time I’ve tried to analyze my thought and work processes! You know, how to get from A(the idea) to B(the resulting piece of work)

Tea Party

I made this for my Godmothers upcoming surprise 75th Birthday Party which is themed " A tea party"

and I've decided I need a new camera, these pic's are blahh, there is so much sparkle and color in this piece.

Choices to make! What will yours be?

I have done my to-dos now and finished the half completed pieces,  so, I now face a whole new year with choices to make.

 

  I am longing to create things which make a serious statement, but when life is difficult (I have had quite a year)my knee-jerk reaction is to create something positive and colourful to lift the spirits and give me a break from the gloom.

Gelatin Prints

I just tried making gelatin prints for the first time. I plan on doing more but these are just a few of the first batch. I plan on using them for backgrounds for applique and embroidery on both paper and fabric.

 

I want to try different inks and surfaces first as I found some of the prints rather pale. the ghost prints are by far the most interesting. They all lend themselves to being printed on  a multitude of times.

A New Blog

Due to all kinds of crazy mistakes while trying to change my blog (make it better) I totally messed up the whole thing!  Yikes!  So now I had to start over.
