I'd like to join again. Would prefer not to have a theme this time as I'm in the process of moving within the next month or so, and could make one now to send in June. Sign me up! Thanks. Viv

PS I don't use a hoop as I find it too restricting.but I do make sure that the fabric has a firm base fabric which could be anything from interfacing to stiffened calico and my favourite is pieces of old fabric blinds that I got from my local scrap store ( a leftover from local businesses and a treasue trove of stuff !!) good luck Lorna

Hi Viv, your beautiful postcard arrived safe and sound in my mailbox yesterday, and the embellishments haven't moved, even though they had to travel across that great big pond between our two countries!!! Thank you so much, I love it.

Thanks Gina, we have a lovely post office with very helpful people, so I suppose they'd be fine with that. I've got lots of stuff I'd like to get done before the end of the year, but maybe I'll try to join the next postcard exchange...do love a challenge.

Hi Viv,
I saw your query on the Postcard group about mailing postcards with beads and buttons etc. on them. I think post offices around the world are getting used to our fabric postcards going through the mail! I know the staff at my post office are fascinated by what I receive and also what I send. I put mine in a small plastic bag with a press seal end (small sandwich bag). I stick the stamp on the fabric, get the post office to frank it by hand, then put it into the plastic bag, seal it, and off it goes! As long as they can see the stamp has been cancelled, there is no problem, and the bling is safe inside the bag.
