I love embellishing fabric, felting, embroidery, experimenting with dyes, stamping, printing and painting fabric.
I make and design dolls so I love to use unusual techniques on their clothes etc...
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I've learned to sew etc by trial and error, I have no formal training but read extensively and experiment. I'm always learning...
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I love creating and looking at other artists work...
This is the first group I joined when it started last year,I found the link on a blog I read,it opened a new world for me.
I much prefer to hand stitch although I would hate to be without a machine.
I have just put photos of Santa on CDA for the fabric swap challenge,I'm still doing battle with the stump doll and Fanciful Figures have a purple challenge doll to be done for October 31st,also I want to do a little piece for the War Child project,I've just finished the Treasure Island map for my textile group, but I can't get a decent photo of it.
I wish I wasn't 62 on Friday if I live to be 100 I'll never get all I want to do done !
I'm going to send you an invite to another Ning group that you might like, the eye candy is wonderful.
How is HRH Grace Poodle, you know the thing is miss most is the feel, that warmth and softness, wish I had friends with dogs.We have decided to go back to doing a few miniatures fairs,we gave up after my son moved as it was too far to take Purdy it added on another three hours onto what was already a very long day.
Enough rambling,I have a committee meeting here in a couple of hours,do you know where the duster is ?
Great to see you here.
