Vaila Tulloch said… Hi Kay, I was about to ask what do I do to befriend you but I've just seen the friend button.. I did a bit of Hardanger yesterday. Not as much as I would have liked but I did a bit. Today I have just about finished quilting my daughter's table runner. I see you live in New South Wales. We've seen the dreadful fires there. It's just awful. We live on an island off the northeast coast of Scotland (Shetland).

I'm a cross-stitcher but I also do blackwork, some needlepoint and even the odd hand embroidery piece (a hold over from when I used to do crewel, I think) . Hardanger scares me to death because of all the thread cutting; also, hardanger charts appears to me to be totally different form cross titch charts and I get all confused --- one of these days, though...
I can knit, but don't do it often. And I can't crochet, tat or anything else in that genre. I'm trying to teach myself quilting (not very successfully, I fear, because sewing machines and I do NOT get along!!).
Shirley Tucker said… Hi Kay. Thanks for being my friend, as I am fairly new here as well. I have been an avid cross-stitcher for years and have recently started Hardanger. I am working on a large fractal cross stitch design, each time I finish a page I put it down and work on a Hardanger piece.

Connie Kusevskis said… Hi Fay, thank you very much for your nice comment about my work, I am totally addicted to Hardanger but I also stitch a little Cross Stitch, right now I am working on a Hardanger table runner with Cross Stitch flowers, I am also a very impatient stitcher, I have to get it done before I start. Have a great day. Connie

Vaila Tulloch said… Hi Kay, I would like to be your friend. I was originally a cross stitcher, then I started quilting. Now I do Hardanger as well I was doing a little cloth for the coffee table for Christmas. I'm still doing it. I'll try and get a chunk of it done this afternoon. Tomorrow I will be quilting. I'm finishing a table runner for my daughter. All this is in between puppy sitting for our daughter and son-in-law.
Hi Kay, I love to be your friend. Welcome to the group. We would love to hear what you are doing and who you are and of course, to see some photographs of your work.
Happy stitching
Vera
