Where did you learn your textle skills?
My great-grandmother handed me a needle and thread when I was three and taught me the basics. Since then I've done extensive self-study, especially in the areas of historical embroidery and costumes. I'm now leaning more toward contemporary work and wearable art.
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I've taught various types of historical embroidery and have won a 2nd place ribbon in the silk and metal thread division at the Woodlawn Plantation Needlework Exhibit. I am a HUGE embroidery geek.
