It was called the Quilt Cupboard when I owned it. I started it in 1998, and sold it in 2001 Yes, I am really looking forward to the Mn Quilt Show. It is bringing back some memories though. I was to Rochester one time before for the MN Quilt Show just as a quilt lover. But I sprained my ankle the night before, and went anyway. It was kind of nice because the gals I went with gave me front door service whereever we went. I wrapped my foot and poushed it into a tennis shoe and hobbled around but took advantage of a chair when ever I spotted one. We also ate at a Chinese restuarant when we were there and it was the best Chinese food I habe ever eaten, so I am hoping it is still there.I don'r recall anything about a poem, but it could have been. I can't wait until after the show, then I will have a little more time to check this site out. Thanks for the good luck wishes.
Hi Carol,
I am going back through e-mails and came across the "rapid exchange" of messages we had a couple of weeks ago. All of a sudden I remembered that I had told you about Stitchin Fingers so thouhght I'd check it out and see if you were here! And you are! I am curious - what was the name of the quilt shop you owned? I sent a copy of a quilting poem that I wrote to a shop owner in the New London area and it got me to wondering if it was you? I am not sure I will make it to the MN Quilters show. We have almost every family birthday and community celebrations in the next two weeks!! Hope you have a good time and lots of sales when you're at the show.
Well, so nice to meet you again, In this venue. One of the things I miss the most about having the quilt shop is the contact that I had with customers. They were all wonderful people. Sometimes when I run into them now at different places, I always remember the face but not always the name, but if they picked out a project to work at the shop and I helped them I can remember exactly what the project was right down to the fabric they selected, and they are always amazed by that, so am I!! It's weird but I have always thought that I had a "photographic" memory. This looks like such an exciting site. I am doing the MN Quilt Show in June and am really busy so don't have a lot of time to check it all out now, but will after the show.
I am from Atwater, MN I have worked on a block of the month -embroidery flowers-you have designed. I have met you at meetings, quilt shows, and at the Flying Goose.
