- What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
- Hand embroidery.
I`m very interested in japanese embroidery too.Unfortunately I don`t have classes here in Frankfurt .nearest place to learn it is in Cologne. I have to check, if it`s possible to go there once in a while to attend classes.
- Where did you learn your textle skills?
- at school :)
Back in my time, handiwork was mandatory at school. (actually, it still is in all schools in Estonia). We started at 4th degree by learning to crochet. Then knitting, stitching and sewing. We also had cooking classes:)
- Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
- Oh, yes, I`m estonian by nationality, but I live with my family in Germany. I`d love to integrate embroidery to some income supporting activity.

Yes, I read about Beate Pietz too. She has some classes or workshops at Japan Culture Center in Cologne. But I think they have summer holidays now. So I have to check out their page to not miss her classes. I so want to learn Japanese embroidery now!!!!!!

Beate Pietzsch teaches in Cologne (she's on the JEC list of tutors), she learned from the same tutor as I and is an incredible stitcher. If you get to study with her you will be very lucky.

I try to keep my eye on upcoming workshops. Unfortunately Japan Culture Center is located in Cologne - that`s 2 hours drive from Frankfurt.
