I have done several thread arts. I started with sewing, progressed to crochet and knitting. I really like amigurumi and miniature bears, dolls, and faeries/fairies. I've discovered hand embroidery while added details to crochet dolls and learning stitches from Mary Corbet's Needle N Thread site. I then found an Inspirations magazine and ...my passion is now embroidery. ;)
Hi Alicia, thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. It's great to see you here. I'm also a member of the design group and you've made me curious about the "Playing with Crayons".
Photos of my project that used handspun silk for embroidery can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/47885693@N00/
Good luck in using your handspun.

Hi Alicia - Thanks for your comments on my blog. One is going to Susan Lenz who left you a note below. You should definitely do a postcard for her and be in the exhibition.
Hi Alicia!
My name is Susan Lenz. I've organized a large postcard and ATC trade for an exhibition next January. It is called CYBER FYBER. I don't have a trade with anyone from Hawaii yet...and would love to. Please consider it!

thanks for the comment about my avatar, I really don't like how I photograph so didn't want to use my own photo - this one is a page I painted for a fabric book exchange, I've started to use it on all my internet groups, I think it's nice to recognise someone this way....
