Love your bobbin lace work. very interesting to see the tradisional cushion used. we have gone modern and use flat pieced of coolite plastic padded and covered. We spangle our bobbins with beads to add a bit of weight and tension. regards Nola

I am trying so hard to learn tatting, but quiet time eludes me. Your handwork is excellant. Would you explain the first picture in your photos. The one with the little wooden things hanging from what you are working on. Would that be bobbin lace?

Hello Yanka, welcome to Stitchin Fingers. I am very tempted to learn bobbin lace but have not tried it yet. I did try tatting but could not get the hang of it. There is a group for Lace Makers here, where you can met other lace makers.
