Very nice! How many different colors of thread did you use?

Thank You Mary! I would have all different storybooks for my self, but this is for my niece and her children. But I did add Harold to this one because of that Purple Crayon...the perfect medium for adding words!

This is such a cute idea! I love Harold and his purple crayon - one of my favorite books for kids!

Does it sparkle? Looks like it does. Can you add a close up of part of it?

I really enjoy looking at all these sections of stitches! Much more fun than a regular Sampler...oh...did I say that out loud?

Thanks so much for your comment on my weaving photo . I used some metallic thread in the weft but it doesn't come out very well in the photo.

Thank you for noticing my pulled thread work and my multi-color bobbin lace. This particular style of bobbin lace would normally not be worked in color, but the color elucidates the structure for a student, and makes it easier to understand.
Your piece above is very interesting. It looks like a combination of tie dye, fabric paint, applique and quilting in silver thread?

Hi Vicky! I really owe you one! Thanks for posting to the site while I was away. It really made things go better for me and I am very grateful. I bashed my finger this morning pretty bad so I'm not sure when I'll get caught up with my details but I hope it heals fast cuz I have some stitching to do...Thanks again!

Hi Vicky! It's that time of July and I'm heading out of town for a few days. I'm going to do the next upload tonight a little early but we'll be due for the next detail on Sunday...Could you please do that one and Tuesday. I'm coming back late on Tuesday and can pick back up on Thursday...Sorry I didn't think to ask until today so I hope you get this!
Thanks a million,
Susan

Hi Vicky,
I've been enjoying your beach scene details. I should have guessed you were from the Pacific Northwest, me too. Looking forward to a truly summer like weekend with lots of beach side (birch bay) wading. Hope you have a good weekend, enjoy, Sherry

Thanks for your compliment on my Starry Nights. I wish I could take credit for the design but alas I merely stitched it. It is a Laura J Perin design. I love her designs. Have you seen her website and blog? She is amazing. I just looked at your blog. Wow. Neat stuff. You are light years ahead of me in your stitching and your creativity.
