Nice to meet you here on the stitchin fingers, quite a surprise that you have edit me as a friend because my membership is just one hour old! Thanks a lot, that's very sweet, xDorie
I love your work. I, too, have made many bags. I am going to go post a couple of them to my photos so you can see - one is red and black checks and reminds me of yours. My "felt" is really fulled wool, as in I shrink wool sweaters. I have also made felt from sheeps wool - it is such a beautiful medium.
Hi Judith, I wonder if Myfanwy ever comes down to Kent , I'll have to look at her site and see where she tours these days. It sure is a small world as you say. Enjoy the good weather while you can. Tricia
Tricia it sure is a small world, yes I do know Myfanwy, I first meet her quite a long time ago now down at Eastliegh when she was trading at a CG show and we have kept bumping into one another ever since.Have agood week Judith.
Tricia I think I had better put an embellisher on the top of my birthday/christmas list ,I have had a little go on one belonging to a friend of mine,it was great fun ,apart from breaking one of the needles! I havn't moved very far only to Farnborough in Hampshire, but every time I visit my sister who is still in Kent it feels like coming home.Have a good weekend,Judith.
Hi Judith,
My needlefelt can be a bit of both. I use the hand needle to get things into position then I finish them off on the machine. Glad you like it. So where are you living now. Is it a long way from Kent? Cheers Tricia
Hi Tricia,I have just been looking at your photos,I love what you have done, may I ask when you say some of your pieces are needle felted does that mean just with a single needle in the hand not with an embellisher?I lived in Kent as a child and some of your scenes reminded me of visiting my Aunt who lived in the Cranbrook area.I also had a look at your blog and was very sorry to read about what happened to your husband, I wish him a very speedy recovery.best wishes Judith.
