I use a hoop when the cloth needs the tension for stitch control. There are just some stitches that will not work or look good with out the hoop. If I am doing ordinary cross stitch then I don't usually use a hoop. The cross st. does not pull the ...

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
I embroider, all forms of lace, knitting, crochet. tapestry weaving.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
I am a navy brat and a former army wife , as such I have been to several foreign countries , back and forth across the USA, to include a hawaii. I was born in Copenhagen , Denmark.
