Lovely work Theresa,
Is there a tutorial on these cast on's?
At the moment I am working on a charity embroidery for Breast cancer... and would like to try this stitch.
I have managed to teach myself to do a decent Bullion leaf and flower shapes......
I have my Crested Chain added. I thought this was a really intersting stitch. I'm not, however, very imaginative and I couldn't think of how you would embellish or use this stitch. Does anyone have any ideas?
I was introduced to to embroidery by a temp foster family. I saw my mother both sew and crochet. It's funny that my interests have developed in these area over time.
Are you the Theresa that left the comment about stitches for Leaves?
I can't find the comment in Hand Embroidery, and there are 4 Theresa's!
If you are the right one - look up Grace Christie, Embroidery and Tapestry Weaving - old book available on-line for free. Got some interesting leaves in there.
hi, just read your comments on stitch a long post, I agree that this is going to be a great way to learn more stitches. Even though I have a basic knowledge from study, there are a lot of new names on the list! look forward to seeing you work ( and your daughters)
