Pam, Thank you. I have just tried them myself. I do really like the stitch and I am sure I will use them frequently. Including Sharon's Stitch Dictionary, I found these links. http://inaminuteago.com/stitchdict/stitch/caston.html http://www.bra...

Lovely work Theresa, Is there a tutorial on these cast on's? At the moment I am working on a charity embroidery for Breast cancer... and would like to try this stitch. I have managed to teach myself to do a decent Bullion leaf and flower shapes......

I have my Crested Chain added. I thought this was a really intersting stitch. I'm not, however, very imaginative and I couldn't think of how you would embellish or use this stitch. Does anyone have any ideas?

I love the Cast-On stitch. Probably because I crochet and it reminds me of the lacy feel.

I finally have my Button Hole stitch uploaded.

Are you the Theresa that left the comment about stitches for Leaves?
I can't find the comment in Hand Embroidery, and there are 4 Theresa's!

If you are the right one - look up Grace Christie, Embroidery and Tapestry Weaving - old book available on-line for free. Got some interesting leaves in there.

hi, just read your comments on stitch a long post, I agree that this is going to be a great way to learn more stitches. Even though I have a basic knowledge from study, there are a lot of new names on the list! look forward to seeing you work ( and your daughters)
