"I personally love sending to and receiving from textile artists all over the world, and being willing to shoulder the postage costs is something I am also willing to continue to cope with.
I'm content to stay with the 12" square format if…"
"I was thinking the same thing- changing the sample size to 10 inches square would reduce the cloth by a total of 44 square inches which should help bring it reliably into 1 oz of postage instead of pushing above the 1 oz limit, and would also help…"
"Hi, all! I just spent the evening doing shaving-cream marbling. For those of you who remember my attempts at this technique from last year, I am feeling much more positive about the results that I got this time around.

"Hi Tahlia, I could be pretty keen, I have got so much out of being a part of it this year. It's been great making new friends with everyone in this year's swap group and you have done a great job organizing it. Cheers Lorna"
Hi Tahlia.me again. If I go into Picassa (my pictures) I can send a picture but when I put in the address...."stitchinfingers,ning.com " it won't accept that address. What will I type into the address? Mary Wyn
I contacted Mary Corbett when I looked at the main page and she was the one who gave the rules for the whole group. She did answer me and told me that she had written to Kalona and that if she hadn't heard from her within 48 hours I was free to take over the administration of the swap. I haven't replied to her because I wanted to get the group's opinion if it was OK if I took over. It seems as though the majority who answered OK'd me, so now I will write back to Mary and tell her I am taking over and ask how to go about doing it (something you probably know since you are already in charge of some things). I wouldn't worry too much about getting permission because I am sure she already knows about the things you are in charge of. In my case I was asking her permission to take over the swap from Kalona because she just disappeared and stopped answering messages from anyone, so it was a special situation. Any help you can give me about running things would be welcome. I do want to write again to everyone in our group and let them know about the swap for the coming year and how it will be different than it was before because there will be directed things to do for some months. I will be doing a directed swap for January and will be giving out the directions after the holidays and after I get everyone signed up. It will be a lot of fun and will cost very little, if anything, because most of us already have the supplies for it. I also think that it is something that most of the members have never done. That is my hope anyway, to do things that are new and different.
