My name is SY (as in sigh) and I love crazy quilting, embroidery, and beading. I have belonged to several Yahoo groups for years and taken place in the swap with SharonB and Willa. I also was in a fairytale round robin. I am still new to doing CQ-ing and embroidery but when I have the time I enjoy it immensely. I've taken two of SharonB's classes and participated in the class forum.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
Everything that I have learned is through books and friends in the internet groups. I don't have anyone close by to stitch with so I've used the resources I have available. I am not self taught as I have had wonderful instruction through books and friends, their help and clear instructions are how I've learned.
Thanks Sy...this is my hair just before it was first cut off...its slowly growing back...almost down to my shoulders now.

Thanks for all the great resources. I will definately look those up later when I have more time. I already have 1 book on SRE, so now I need to get ribbons and "stuff". LOL!

LOL! What got me interested in CQ was all the pretty tatting I've seen used to embellish the squares. So beautiful! I love all the lovely stitches and beads and whimsical things I've seen on CQ. As far as SRE goes, I've been wanting to learn for over 15 years!
