stretcher bars

So far all my needlepoint has been kits, using continental and basketweave stitch, and I have used Edmunds frames.  I am thinking of signing up for the Carole Lake and Michael Boren class on St. Margaret's Star, and they recommend the Evertite frames.  So I have two questions: have you found this makes a significant difference in your work?  And how do you attach the canvas to the Evertite frames?

"Thank you for the mention of the Shining Needle Society.  I am thinking of signing up for the new Saint Margaret's Star project.  All of my needlepoint so far has been done on kits, using basketweave and continental stitches, and I…"

"Thanks Liz, that was exactly what I was getting at, and I think Shirley got it as well. I get into the digital design and then have to remember when it comes time to weave it -- or stitch it -- I have to remember to let the second medium, the fiber…"

"Julia, Wow, I would also have gone back as many times as possible to an exhibit like that one. And Barbara, thanks for the good wishes, the trigger finger has responded very well to treatment."

Hi, no this is digital design. I have the Gimp photo editing programme, but you can do the same with photoshop. There is a digital design group here, where there are a couple links to instructions on how to use these programmes. I have actually printed out one of them onto linen and am looking forward to stitching it.. There is another one with aqua and off white, which I am doing at the moment. I have just learned this and am fascinated by it.
