That makes me feel much better to know that my intellect is not entirely at fault here for not understanding (grinning).
You have all been very nice in helping me. Thanks :-)

Ridge Filling Stitch:
First, sorry for not answering before this morning. I have not been feeling well at all these past few days and have not done any stitching at all as my brain felt like it was on holiday.
I have reread the instructions that…
For all who do pulled thread or drawn thread work or who want to learn. Pulled thread collects fabric threads into clumps, drawn thread removes some threads.
For those who have already done some of this work, those who are admirers of the style and would like to make a start and also just for curious enquirers.
My goal is to learn as many different styles of embroidery as possible, whether it is needle painting, stumpwork, brazilian embroidery, beading, applique, hardanger, blackwork or whatever else is out there, to have fun in the process and to create lovely memories for myself.
Hi Pierrette, I am coming to the end of the first year of a 2 year level 3 Stumpwork, we have our annual exhibition soon , so yes very busy. Just made a baby quilt for one of my DIL,s and a small foundation pieced hanging of little houses, which I really like , I will be putting them on my blog this weekend. Hugs

Hi Pierrette so lovely to see you on here, I am still having connection problems with e mails so it's a hit and miss affair mostly but at least I can see you here.
Hugs
