Peggy, thank you for your message, you are lucky to have such a heritage, my learning came later in life but also became my passion. I must still try to upload some photos to my page, I've been battling to get my camera to talk to my laptop. Techno things leave me cold sometimes. This year my goal is to learn needlelace basics and tatting. There are just so many things I want to do and not enough time to do it all. I'm sure you must have also collected a few UFO's. I have a lovely whitework piece that is half worked and I'm not happy with it. I can see a lot of unpicking and restitching before that one is finished. Also have a large piece of jacobean style embroidery that is almost finished. But at the moment am very involved with crocheting squares into blankets for charity, an old age home and children in Africa. I need another set of hands. haha
Peggy your work is absolutely beautiful. You do so many different techniques, how many years have you been stitching. So much inspiration, thank you for sharing.
Ann Bernard said… Hello Peggy, Am glad you printed CoralSword Stich instructions and will try it out. It is not difficult and does best in a thick thread and small size stitch. Email me if you have any problems ann@annbernard.com Please publish your effort and maybe some other people will get creative with it, Am sure we know each other from TGS days. Your name is very familiar. Your photos are cruising by as I write and you have some lovely pieces posted. Lots of Tamari Balls. Happy Christmas Ann
Louise Smith said… Thank you Peggy for your comments on Off to Rathtrevor! I'm glad you've seen the place, it's lovely isn't it? We were wowed by the number of rabbits one time we visited at dusk. Thanks again, Louise
Jessica Grimm said… Dear Peggy,
Thank you for your comments! I am a little ashamed for not answering earlier... Things go a bit manic here. Next week I will host an Open Day for the RSN Netherlands which will start in Januari 2013. Preparing all the samples and documentation does take up a lot of my time. Ah well, hopefully many people will sign up for the certificate!
Have a nice day, Jessica
Oops I said it again, I meant twisted satin stitch.
Thanks for telling me about the book with the twisted chain, Peggy. Alas, I don't have that particular book but will ask my friend Shirley if she has it. Regards Dianne C.
