Hi Patricia and welcome to the group! It's wonderful to hear from stitchers from around the world. I'm well into my Japanese Embroidery education, preparing to do Phase IX in February and hope to take Phase X in Atlanta next September. I live in southern Maryland, on the water -- a peaceful spot for stitching getting taken up with Nuido! Jeanne
Kazumi Tamura held a workshop in Oklahoma City summer 2008 on White Dew and I am sure Kathy Johnson (kjohnsn@att.net) has compiled detailed notes on it. Give her shout and see if she will share with you her notes. And if she does share it with you, will you send me a copy too (maryelvis@sbcglobal.net) Thanks!
Hi Pat welcome to stitching fingers how are you going and how is your piece coming along?? I have gone back to stitching cords and still working on calm flow, beading phase II Look forward to chatting to you soon Sue
I could not go to Hawkwood either, I was on honeymoon :-D
I am currently stitching Himotaba. When I am actually stitch, I am enjoying it but I find that the piece does not call to me the way that Phases I - IV did. To be honest I am a little intimidated by it. I think I convinced myself that it is a difficult piece and that I would not be able to do it justice.
In addition, I have been seduced by beads and this year have completed Phase I and II of the Japanese Bead Embriodery. I've now started on Phase III and really enjoying it.
Hello Patricia, welcome to Stitchin Fingers. I am learning Japanese Embroidery (currently Phase V) and also Japanese bead embroidery, I have just begun Phase III.
There is a Japanese Embroidery Group in Stitchin Fingers. We would love for you to join us, tell us about your journey and hopefully share some pictures of your stitching.

Silly me, I should have recognised your name, shouldn't I? Nice to see you here.
I heard others say the same thing about Conception. Did you take the class at Hawkwood?
