Thanks for your comment onFPC.The base fabric is multi coloured and has a shine to it, then added to it by cutting up paper/fabric(can't decide what it is, between the two) beads and fancy machine stitches.Going to FoQ this weekend, so no dount will pick up more bits and pieces

I remember nature tables too, in fact I have a small wooden table in the garden with a collection of shells pebbles etc which is in a similar vein, and I have quite long pieces of driftwood on the patio; some would think it looks untidy but I like the rustic natural look! Will mail the brooch instructions soon. Regards

Hello Odette, thanks for your kind comments - I do like to try a bit of everything and I also get bored doing the same things but at this rate I will never get really good at anything, more Jill of All Trades!
I can share the brooch pattern with you, when I can put my hand on it; if you send me your email address, I will get it to you. It`s not `my` pattern though, just something which I really liked.
The `August` card, was on a painted background, then layers of organza in suitable colours. I am a bit of a beachcomber so always have suitable shells handy which were held in place with the organza.
I have enjoyed your photographs and look farward to seeing more of your work. Regards and happy stitching!

Hi Odette thanks for the comment on my poppy field, I have done two of these in different sizes, one is 8''x8'' and the other is roughly 15''x 15''. I think your seascape really sparkles.

Hi Odette,
Thanks for your comment on my pink and blue CQ. This patchwork was started with a five sided piece in the center, basted to a square of muslin. The muslin is cut about an inch or so larger than the desired size of the finished block. Then you do "flip n sew" - i.e. you lay a piece along one edge of the center block, right side down, sew along this seam (by machine usually, but can be done by hand). Then you flip that piece over to the right side and press the seam you just sewed. Now you have 2 pieces on your block. You choose your next fabric, align it with another of the center piece's edges, right side down, stitch, flip and press. There is a lot more info on this at SharonB's blog. Check it out, her blog is called Pintangle and that particular entry has lots of links in it. Good luck!
Happy Stitching,
~LIn Moon
