Hi everyone. I am new to this blogging bit so here goes. I have been painting for years but always loved stitching even wwneb it was called "fancywork". I took up embroidery again when I went back to work fulltime to get us through a crisis then realised I could combine them both and created my version of painting and stitching. I did a series for an Exhibition 2 years ago and sold them all. I also combine stump work or raised embroidery with the painting. I love doing old houses with a bit of… Continue

I want you to know that every time I see your profile picture, it makes me so happy because you and your grand daughter look so happy and contented in it, and it reminds me of how much my son and his grandma loved each other.

Hi, Nola. Thanks for your comments on the chair and the stitched poem. I'm a student insofar as we are all students...the day I stop learning is the day I can cash in my chips. I won't call myself an artist (because that word's got too much baggage, good and bad, that doesn't really pertain to me), but I like to make things and I use my imagination creatively. :)
"Hmm, sounds like an illywhacker to me..." LOL

Thank you, Nola. I am a designer, and have been thinking of getting back into publishing my designs. If I do, this will be one of them. So, it may be possible soon!

Hugs and stitches,

Cindy Brown

Hi Nola, I love the way magical things happen with dyes...and things like some of the dyes washing out you can get some unexpected good surprises. I am sure you will have a lot of fun at the fibre workshop.
