Hi everyone. I am new to this blogging bit so here goes. I have been painting for years but always loved stitching even wwneb it was called "fancywork". I took up embroidery again when I went back to work fulltime to get us through a crisis then realised I could combine them both and created my version of painting and stitching. I did a series for an Exhibition 2 years ago and sold them all. I also combine stump work or raised embroidery with the painting. I love doing old houses with a bit of h… Continue

I just accidentally discovered your bobbin lace swatch that you posted in your note to Amanda. It is a very unusual design. Where did you get the pattern?

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. I had all those photos and wanted somebody besides myself to be able to view and enjoy them.

Thank you for noticing my bobbin lace R29o, and for your kind words and the gift. Your needlebooks are very pretty, much nicer than ones I made for myself. In regard to the pattern for R29o, I will be posting downloadable patterns for sale in about a month or so, on my website. Please look at:

wow your lace is beautiful! Thank you for the helpful ideas I'm slowly getting everything together, just bought beads for spangles and am threading them all on, also bought some pins and will get materials for a cushion tomorrow. So much involved in setting up! Thanks for the idea of using crimps i will definitely do that :) I live in New Zealand so you don't have to send me bobbins its too far away!! I can't wait to start making my lace :)

Thank you for the information about how your pelican is done. You have developed a very effective style. The house that you have uploaded is also lovely.

I'm sure that Anne would love to hear from you regarding the tambour embroidery. Just click on her name, I have linked it to her page.

I hope that you enjoy being part of Stitchin Fingers. Lots of members say they are new to this when they first join but they soon get the hang of it and so will you. Have fun.
