Don't use the magnifier where the sun can shine through it. It caught something of mine on fire! (Lucky I was able to patch it and stitch on the patch and you can't tell without looking for it) WHEW!
Have a great time!
Theres that one that looks sorta like a figure 8 when you make it and then when you pull it, it looks like the knot. bit if you don't like the look, how about adding beads?

Hi there Ladies (and Gentlemen, too if there are any of you out there!)
I'm so happy to have found this place. I usually am on the yahoogroups and the yuku boards, so this is new to me. :)
I've been enjoying cross stitch for years now. My favor...
Hi Narita,
I finally got around to checking out the link you provided for the peacock chatelaine. It is absolutely stunning! I could never in a million years do such intricate and exquisite stitching. Whoever she is, the person whose photos are on that webshots album, certainly is a serious embroiderer..
Narita, thanks for the nice comment about my blog.
Cynthia does still volunteer her time at St. John's. Here is a link to the site: http://www.stjohnshome.org/ But now she works in a more temporary shelter so I'm not sure how easy it is to teach the girls cross stitch since they aren't there very long. Previously, she worked in a house where the residents were there for a longer period of time, so she really got to know them.
I stitch for a variety of charities. I've already filled my home, my friends' homes, and my relatives' homes with stitching, so I need someplace to send my finishes!
Hi Narita... welcome to Stitchin' Fingers. I just check out your blog. Love the squirrel and bunny from JCS. I was considering stitching those myself. You did a beautiful job. And the little witches are darling!
Hi Narita,
Thank you for joining Cross Stitchin Fingers. Like Dawn, I visited your blog and am awestruck by your stitching skills. The big picture of the lady is too good to be true - it looks more like a painting than cross stitch. I'll post a welcome on the CSF forum now - come over and introduce yourself!
