I've done art dolls, quilts, bags, postcards, atcs over the years, embroidery, knitting, crazy quilting, applique, surface embellishment using beads, found objects etc, felting....wet and needle. I now like to make art quilts....although I've just started exploring these, I like to try new and unusual techniques.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Sewing and knitting from my mother as a child, mostly self-taught now, from books and magazines, and help from friends.

I live in northern NSW Australia, I'm retired, and spend my days pleasing myself.......gardening, in my work room 'playing', re-doing old furniture, I'm a member of the Gold Coast Fiberarts group.

I was looking at fpc's recently and came across the lovely card you sent awhile back with painted leaves etc. and thought again how talented you are.
Where di you grow up in Brisbane Nanette. I will look forward to seeing photos of your work. I left Brisbane in the 50's and when I returned in 1979 for good, lived at the sunshine coast then rainbow beach before coming out here into the country.
You will enjoy the wonderful interaction with the ladies here. They are great.
