I met Jeanine several years ago on the newsgroup rec.craft.textiles.needlework and I met her in person two years ago in Italy, at the Internationa Forum of Lace and Embroidery. About Japanese embroidery: I know there's a teacher in Lion - France, but it is too far for me... I can't leave the kids for many days, so it is not an option for me, at least for more several years. But I'm patient ;-)

Your camellias are wonderful... I drool over japanese embroidery, but there are no teachers near where I live... I have a book about the basic technique, and perhaps I will give it a try, one day or another... (I'll have to find where to buy the silk online, before!)
I have two friends in Montreal, Erma and Fiore, who will come in Italy for an embroidery course, on next June. If I remember correctly, they should teach. I know that Montreal is not a little town, but maybe you know them... it would be funny :-)

Canada are you? My son is a missionary currently living in Hochelaga West. He is Mormon and is on a mission for his church. I hear it's beautiful there. It's not so pretty here in Las Vegas, though I keep trying with my gardening and embroidery. If nothing else I can try and pretty up my little corner of the world! Meg :-)
