Thanx. Sprang is an ancient technique for making elastic netting. Makes great bags, caps, sleeves (I guess). We've done historical re-creation on the weekends for ages and sprang works great for Viking-age caps and such. It's a little difficult to learn (you feel all thumbs), but your fingers eventually get the hang of it. Peter Collingwood has a book on the technique.
I just poked around in here until I stumbled on where to put my pics and such. That's pretty much how I approach computers. ;-]
Oh and concerning the blue hair...I only did it the once, when I had my 13th birthday (Leap Year you know). I was so anxious about it too! But I simply had to do it!
Now I think I might do it again. I like how my hair looked dark (I've had grey hair around my face since I was in high school, and before that it was a lighter dishwater blonde).
So maybe I'll get up the gumption again sometime and just do it! 8-]
Oh I'm so glad you didn't close down your blog! Sometimes you just need a "vacation" from your creative side. Then when you come back you're all inspired again. 8-]
Glad I could be of some help in keeping your going!
Hi, Mrs. Thimble,
You're a neighbour of mine - well, relatively! I'm in N. Somerset, too, in Congresbury. I have 2 DDs too - (and a DS). I suspect I'm rather older than you, though: I was a late starter. Shall we go mad and become friends?
Best wishes,
Sue
