Hi everyone,
I am looking for a light -weight japanese embroidery frame stand which is a trestle design, held rigid by two strips of wood laid on top and held in place by hooked ends. The embroidery frame is placed on top.
Do you know where I might...

Plums flower in February(coldest month) in Japan so it is an early sign of sring.
Looking at your embroidery I see some of buds (Pale pink) are about to open.
I love owls too.Behind our house there are some big trees where they someimes visit and hoot.
David always points it out to me. He used to have some peacocks. They are noisy. Your owls look fluffy
I feel I want to stroke their heads. Mchiko
Dear Michiko
The photos of the fans are Midori's fans, I had them professionally taken for her... I am working on them and wanted to share them with everyone since they are so unique and beautiful. I am bringing Midori to the USA in Feb. 2011 to teach them, check out my web page for details
Oh poor Noah, I hope he gets well soon. I would recomend the book, it's produced by Kurenai-kai so is a good one to get if you can't get hold of the main textbook. I think it would be a good one to help you with your embroidery. It has some nice small projects in which you might like.
I think embroidering a kimono is a good idea, it's something I would love to do one day. Thank you for your offer of doing some shopping in Japan, I will have a think about it.

Hi Michiko, just been looking on one of the book sites which stocks many out of print japanese embroidery books and saw this one at www.japanese-book.com and thought of you. This one is in print so you might be able to get it through Amazon or to get someone in Japan to send it to you, but I thought you might like it for your japanese embroidery.
I was interested to read that the little animal in your photo is your cat. I had two black cats who both used to like going for a walk.
Did you see Midori at Harrogate? She is another Japanese embroidery tutor who teaches in the UK. Her designs are very different to ours, much more modern, but still very beautiful. You can find her here www.midori-embroidery.com.
