Last summer when I was doing the studio journals class, I came across a blog that was doing another journaling project. Many of the techniques were similar (creating backgrounds, experimenting) but there was more of a journaling, loose, unfocused ...
Marjorie,
I have just about run out of bits of paper to stick into scrap books/journals. (Until I open the next box/drawer or cupboard anyway.) It started as a chore, but has been quite enjoyable! It will certainly be more fun looking through all the bits I have saved for inspiarion!
MArjorie,
Have just had a look at your journal pages. I enjoyed looking very much as I have been sticking all sorts of paper scraps into books over the last couple of months, to stop them falling out of boxes, shelves, drawers and cupboards, then adding bits and pieces of precious scraps of threads, yarn, and fabric mainly from the floor of the sewing room! I haven't got the patience to work with paints and stuff that needs drying time, but I am having fun without that sort of mess.
Marjorie...thanks for the welcome. I love your photos of the journal. I haven't done anything like this. I guess I should be keeping a journal like you. Thanks for all your encouragement and kindness. You are a lovely person, and I am gald you are my friend.
I agree I haven't started June yet.....the thoughts are there it is just trying to find the time and to get the brain and hands to work together...... The visit to your blog was also a treat.
Hi Marjorie, I really like how you did the mock up for your fiber book. I tend to jump right in and start something... it didn't work this time hence the ugly page LOL... Looks like you can get some of the design issues worked out well this way before you get going.
Thanks, Marjorie, for the offer of help with the pdf thing. I may take you up on the offer. Will be looking at whether I can do it next week and if it boggles my mind, well, I'll be in touch. :-)
Well Marjorie, I have to admit that the first and last day of the month wasn't my idea. I run a sister group to my blog on Ravelry and it was a suggest from there. I liked the idea and just kind of promote it.
