Yes, that's the marking tool. Now I am excited to try it out on a practice piece. I haven't been looking forward to using a marking pencil on the wall quilt that I am making for my sister-in-law. There are plain 6" blocks and a plain border (also patchwork blocks) that need to be quilted, and marks would easily show. So, I have to find a few quilting designs, that will go together for the 6" blocks, the border and side triangle blocks and corner triangles!
Thanks again, Marja. You've helped me a lot. K.
Do you mean the plastic kind that leaves an indentation in the fabric? It is like a knife, but it doesn't make a real mark, like a pencil or chalk? I just bought one; now I can't remember the name of it. I will be so happy if it works for me as well as it worked for you. I need a stencil for a border for a wall quilt I am making as a gift, and am going to look for stencils online right now. Thanks Marja.
Marja: Your photos show that you are talented in many forms of needlework. I'm especially drawn to your lovely hand quilting. I have trouble marking stencil designs on my quilts-I'm afraid the marks will show. Do you have a favorite kind of marking tool for those beautifully quilted pieces I saw in your photos?

No worries Marja,
I know that Two of the other people are away until xmas so I think the roosting robin will need to stop until the new year and then we can start again.
