Quilting, knitting, embroidery, felting, hand dyed / hand painted fabric and yarns, mixed media textiles, crazy quilting, slow cloth
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Learned crochet as a child. Took quilting classes starting in the late 90's, the most memorable and influential workshop was with Caryl Bryer Fallert. Worked at a LYS/LQS for several years where I learned to knit and expanded my quilting knowledge. Embroidery and crazy quilting has been mainly self-taught, with lots of inspiration from blogs and Quilting Arts magazine. Sharon Boggon's websites have been especially helpful and influential on my recent embroidery work.
