What type of textile arts are you interested in?
yarn (wool, cotton, alpaca, silk); cotton, silk - knitting); recyclables (quilting); hand quilting, spinning, contemporary embroidery and cross-stitch.
What's your favorite type of needlework?
Some from my mother (embroidery, knitting); some from friends and in classes (quilting, art quilting, spinning, dyeing); some at school (sewing).
Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
I am a fledgling fibre artist living in a hamlet in Central Alberta, with my very large cat. I have two wonderful grown children; the closest is 1 1/2 hours away. My work has been informed by my past and is being re-formed by my present as a widow and person of faith living in quiet, natural rural surroundings.

TAST Week 1

Being up here in the northern hemisphere, I have the nagging sense of being behind when Tuesday arrives -- mainly because I can read Sharon B's TAST posts when it's still Monday here!  :-)  That said,  I've managed to finish a piece with Fly Stitch in it and finally have a photo to post for Week 1 of the challenge.  I'm combining TAST with the Crazy Quilt Journal Project, so you'll have to look for the stitch in this photo.…
