Hello Everybody I only discovered this discussion last week. When I started the pulled thread group, I didn't know this was even here. It has taken me some time to figure out how the software of this site works. Sorry.

Profile Information

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
I love hand work - mainly hand applique and embroidery. Currently I am working on a series of miniature Baltimore Album Applique blocks in Chinese silk fabric. I have also spent quite a bit of time in the last year learning embroidery - I really enjoyed Sharon B's PLOS class last year!
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
I'm an Aussie living in Beijing

I noticed that back in July of 2008 you had expressed an interest in pulled thread work in the handembroidery discussion that you started. I joined stitchinfingers in early December and almost immediately started a pulled thread group. I only found your discussion thread about a month later. Are you still interested in pulled thread? Have you dont any? I've just posted an album amoung my photos of bookmark samplers -- some ideas for small pulled thread projects. When you have time, please take a look.

Hi Mara! We've exchanged a few messages about CYBER FYBER. I would love to trade with you. Please know that your trade doesn't have to be completed until the end of the year. It would be awesome to trade with a stitcher in China...so please consider it. Trading is easy. Just visit the CYBER FYBER site (http://cyberfyberexhibition.blogspot.com) and go to the available ATCs and/or postcards. Leave a comment on the one(s) you want....limit one of each. Then, write me a private email at cyberfyber@prodigy.net with your mailing address. I'll mail the trade and wait for yours....even to the end of the year! If you have any questions, please just write!
Thanks so much!

My name is Susan Lenz. Last January I developed CYBER FYBER. It is an exhibition scheduled for Jan. 8 - 20 at Gallery 80808/Vista Studios in Columbia, SC. The exhibition will include traded fiber postcards and ATCs. So far, I've traded with stitchers in 24 countries and 37 states....but no one from China! Please consider trading with me! If you have questions, please don't hesitate to write. My stitch fingers page includes links to the exhibition and to my personal, artistic blog. I look forward to hearing from you.

Mara,
I love your flower design with the little lady bugand the embellishment of the bead border really adds to it's charm. My daughter loves lady bugs so next time she visits I will show her your design.
Smiles to you. Sandi in MN just southwest of MPLS/St. Paul
