Wow! What a choice!
I do know and love China Glaze. I'm in Australia, so not familiar with the other brands.

Erm, do you mean - are my bare nails stained permanent light yellow from my continual wearing of dark coloured nailpolish, and am I on the lookout for a good dark red or a good purple? Then - YES! :-)

It looks like we love the same sorts of things! Silk long and short stitch and goldwork!

You are very talented! :-) I especially love the 1938 Fan and the Or Nue beetles.

Mandy, I FINALLY got around to trying out your berry instructions. . . and they worked GREAT! Thanks so much. I'll be teaching the technique to our Embroiderers Guild group later this month.

Mandy, Thanks, it's probably less work than your pomegranate and goldwork!

Hi Mandy, Edward is a kit available from Beadalot. I think that you can just purchase the pattern but some of the beads may be difficult to source .

Mandy, your pomegranate is just perfect! You are a very gifted stitcher. May I ask what threads you used for the silk shading?

Mandy, I am so sorry that I did not accept your friendship request sooner, but I just realized that it existed. I'd never notice the top right corner of my page where it exisited till jut now. Anyway, I am happy to be your stitchin' fingers firend.

Mandy,
Thanks for your reply. It is disappointing to me that the kit is out of print. If it isn't a bother, I'd appreciate it if you could find out if the lady still has the pattern as I don't think I could make it with just looking at your finished picture. I did do that once with a small Xmas tree ornament, but it was way more simple with no shading. BTW, I thought that blackwork was always done with on thread of floss and the shading was made by having more or less intricately filled patterns. I did not know that sometimes more or less strands of floss are used. (I think looking at a finished picture to determine how many strands of floss were used would be difficult, for me at least.
